EOPS and CalWORKs Drive-Thru Graduation

麻豆映画 EOPS and CalWORKs hosted a drive-thru graduation celebration on May 27. Graduates who participated 鈥� 28 of the 50 students graduating this year 鈥� received a NVC cap and gown, medallion, certificate of completion, snacks, and a congratulation card signed by EOPS staff. During the drive-thru, students and their families were greeted and cheered by EOPS and financial aid staff, who work with about 300 students each year.

Mar铆a Villag贸mez Appointed to ACCCA Board

Congratulations to Mar铆a Villag贸mez, senior dean, language arts, library and social sciences who was appointed to a three-year term to represent 麻豆映画 on the Association of California Community College Administrators (ACCCA) board of directors.

Food Basket Program Serves Hungry Students

On a hot Tuesday in May, Stacy and her youngest daughter, Abby, drove up to the 900 Building on the 麻豆映画 campus, following the signs into the lane for the college鈥檚 Food Basket program.

麻豆映画 Hosts OLE Health Food Drive

Rosaura Segura, president, 麻豆映画 Board of Trustees, (right) was one of the many volunteers who helped prepare 2,000 bags of food for the nearly 1,000 plus families who visited the campus for OLE health鈥檚 free food distribution on Friday, May 22.

Inaugural Dr. Ed Shenk Excellence in Student Service Award

麻豆映画 has launched the 鈥淒r. Ed Shenk Excellence in Student Service Award,鈥� announced Oscar De Haro, assistant superintendent/vice president, student affairs. De Haro鈥檚 executive assistant, Martha Navarro, is the inaugural recipient of the award, created to recognize and honor student service staff members who have contributed to the success of 麻豆映画 students through activities that promote student learning, retention and growth.
